OVERVIEW

The Museum Hotel, which opened in 2002, enjoys an enviable location built into the side of a hill on a 5,000 square meter plot of land. Largely considered the first luxury boutique hotel in Cappadocia, it overlooks a broad valley mahogany-colored canyons, goopy rock formations, and a massive volcano at the edge of the horizon.

The air on the hill is cool and the views from the hotel’s infinity-edge pool are awe-inspiring. The hotel is constructed from the restorations of old ruins and wrecks and offers 30 fantastic rooms. Owner Omer Tosun is an antique collector and the fantastic collection (from the periods of the Ottoman, Seljuk, Roman and Hittites - many are registered in the Nevsehir Museum) punctuate the public areas and rooms, lending an historical and rarified air.

The rest of the hotel maintains the elegance, from the upscale alacarte restaurant Lil’a to the rooms, which are hollowed out of the hill and come with king-size beds, marble, Jacuzzi baths, and elegant artwork. A peaceful and cultured choice.
